Volunteerism Project🎨

PPD 1041 SOFTSKILLS AND BASIC VOLUNTEERISM
ACTIVITY: VOLUNTEERISM PROJECT
NAME: SYAZA IZZATI BINTI ISMAIL
MATRIC NUMBER: 71742

This time, we will color the bench in our faculty. We have provided the tool to complete the project. Among the tools we use are paint, brushes, boxes and more. We were assigned to do the work in a group, so that the work that will done will be more creative because many ideas will comes from working in the group.

I think having an assignment like this will strengthen our relationship with our classmates, reason I said that because our projects require a lot of energy such as lifting the bench to the right place for coloring, finding a used box to protect the floor from getting dirty, finding the right tools to start the project, and we also share the same stuff when doing work. Therefore, there is no issue injustice here. Everyone has their own tasks, no matter how heavy or light the work. At the same time, everyone enjoys doing the assigned work.

Everyone has their own role in this assignment, such as being a leader of a group, I am assigned to take pictures before, during and after the activity, some of them, buyers of goods for projects we run and other positions. Everyone also should carry out their tasks in order for the activities to run smoothly. Therefore, the division of duties is very important.

Many of the students face depression as a result of being overly stressed with assignments, tests and quizzes. One way is by volunteering in organized social service activities. This is because with active participation, it can improve the physical and psyschological health of students. A healthy body can create a smart brain. Therefore, volunteer activities like this are highly recommended to all students even though it are not on the subject list. There are many values that can come from these activities such as being responsible, cooperating, being obedient helping others and many good values.

Although our project looks simple, it requires persistence when painting the bench. Some of us had paint on their clothes and pants. Therefore, caution and perseverance are very important. The challenge when painting this bench is when we need keep the floor clean from the paint spill and make sure the stained bench look neat. These volunteer activities also can brighten our faculty. After we complete this activity, we can see the color change in our faculty. It’s more colorful than before. Not only did we do this but many other students from other groups as well as other classes participated in this volunteer activity. I am very happy to be one of the participants in this activity. I also hope that I can join this kind of activity again in the future

This is our final step and our end result. Our final step was painting the seat to match the color of the table. We use green and yellow to enhance the vibrant colors of our faculty. I feel very happy with this final result. I hope our faculty has more interesting and beautiful places like this and volunteer activities continue. Our bench looks simple but luxurious.

Moreover, what is important in this regards is to always be positive in order that bad things do not happen to us. Academic Integrity📝

PPD 1041 SOFTSKILLS AND BASIC VOLUNTEERISM
ACTIVITY: ACADEMIC INTEGRITY
NAME: SYAZA IZZATI BINTI ISMAIL
MATRIC NUMBER: 71742

We were asked questions by our lectures, the questions were based on personal ethics. We are very excited to answer this question because the question is based on ourselves and on our honesty. Questions based on some situations such as at school, at home, with friends and in many other situations. This is a very good questions for us, because from this question we can see which situations we have and never have in our lives. We can also asses the ethics we have, whether good or bad.

One of the questions asked is ‘have you ever copy a friend’s homework ‘. Today, issues involving academic dishonesty show a growing trend that undermines the integrity of an education system. Extensive implications can occur, if this phenomenon is not taken seriously. It can affect the education system making it difficult for educational institutions to achieve good academic goals. Academic dishonesty is an increasingly challenging issue today. This increase has occurred over time as this issue has become a problem that has plagued the modern student generation. The study found that the majority of students do academic dishonesty based on factors such as doing so because they want to get high grades and do so for reasons that are too busy with their lessons and assignments. Therefore, a student should not get caught up in this problem, as many problems will arise from multiple parties. Such as involving parents and superiors. That is a description of one of the questions asked. Return to the activity of answering the questions of ethics.

Therefore, questions about this ethic can open our eyes to avoid doing bad and unlawful things. After answering the questions, our lecturer described some of the ethics we should practice in life and the ethics we should avoid. There are also questions about what we should do if we are in a situation. For example, you’re on date and things are going really well. At the end of dinner, your waiter hands you the check. After reviewing your tab, you realize the appetizer you ordered wasn’t included on your bill. What do you do? The most accurate answer is ‘bring the oversight to your waiter’s attention’.

In this situation we should be good at controlling emotions, because if we do not control our emotions something bad can happen such as fight and so on. Our ethics symbolize our personality, if our ethics are good, the people around us will look good to us. If bad, we learn from mistakes and learn to change slowly. Lastly, I think this test works well for me and my other friends. There are so many values I can get, and so many ethics that I have to improve in myself.

Meet The Faculty Members👬👨🏻‍🤝‍👨🏻

PPD 1041 SOFTSKILLS AND BASIC VOLUNTEERISM

ACTIVITY : MEET THE FACULTY MEMBERS

NAME: SYAZA IZZATI BINTI ISMAIL

MATRIC NUMBER: 71742

We were assigned by the lecturer to do some activities with students from other classes. Before starting our activity it is divided into groups so that the activity runs smoothly when it starts. The picture above is a member of my group. The person in the middle of us is our lecturer who is monitors our activities. Her name is Dr.Norazirah Ayob. At that time, our group had just completed one activity. We are very happy to do this activity. After completing the activity, we were asked to take a creative picture. I am very grateful to have such a wonderful team member and have a responsible attitude in every single activity. During the activity I could see the enthusiasm of my team members that made me really want to do something to succeed.

Our second task was to find 2 lecturers from each program. I have a short video about what we do. We are also instructed to hold the rope during the activity so that it is easy to do and to keep the group members from leaving the group. This activity was fun because this activity we got to know our lecturer’s room and made it easy for us to talk about learning later. We also got to know the lecturers in our college even though they didn’t teach us. We also can interact with lecturers in the faculty of economics and business even though they may not recognize us during this activity. This activity also tested our patience, as we had to climb the stairs together to hold the ropes with crowds of students and the hot weather at that time.

On the next activity, we need to find an administrative officer in our faculty. We were also able to finish the task slowly because of the number of the groups lining up to meet the officer. We had to wait a long time to see them. Besides, the hot weather did not break our desire to continue our activities. I hope that, this kind of activity will continue. In addition, with this kind of activity, it can teach us to cultivate to strong spirit. This activity has also provided us with valuable experiences that we will never forget.

Even though our group did not win, we are still proud that other members of the same class won the prize. The picture above shows our other classmates along with our lecturers. Our lecturers are very supportive in everything we do and we are very grateful for it. Pictures and videos are the culmination of everything we do to be remembered. Many lessons can be learned from this activity. I hope this kind of activity can be carried out again, next time. Lastly, we are also very united because all of us are wearing green clothes. This make it easy for us to get to know our classmates even in tight situations.
